I’m doing this again. And yes, I still buy CD’s.
I’ve been keeping a look out on Ebay for CD’s to catch up on some releases. This was a “1 cent CD” and came sealed. That was cool.

Sometimes I’m in the mood to hear a specific kind of music and this time it was some 90’s emo. Then, I realized I needed to have this. I’ve loved this album ever since I first listened to it way back whenever. The only thing is, I could never find the CD anywhere. Thanks to the internet (spcifically Amazon), I can order CDs like this for cheap! Yay for Summer!

I don’t know why, but on an impulse the other day I wanted to listen to Morrissey. So, I ordered this and now I listen to Morrissey whenever I please!

More CDs from the San Francisco trip. These were all from Rasputin Records and in the closeout section… of course. My mom found the Thrice CD for me. One step closer to owning all of them! I downloaded that Andrew Belle album sometime last year when it was free somewhere (NoiseTrade, I think?) and I loved it. It was still sealed and only like $2 - score! The three last ones were all hidden below the shelf/cd case thingy and that’s that story!

These are all CDs I found at Amoeba Music in San Francisco. My little buddy Aleah found the Jimmy Eat World CD but I snatched it from her because I needed it! I found the Get Up Kids album in the $1 section and all the others were $2 or $3 (can’t remember). Apparently we were in there for so long and my mom was tired of waiting so I didn’t get to finish looking through all that I wanted to and I grabbed those three Radiohead CDs at the last second. I always wanted more of their albums and well, there they were.

This one is supposed to be before Major/Minor. I guess I was a little excited about that one. We had a “family day” last Saturday and visited a Second Spin in Costa Mesa. Of course the ones I find in the two for $1 are ones I already had… Anyways, my mom wanted to get me something. We agreed on The Smiths and then I found a used copy of Stay What You Are. I’m pretty satisfied with my choices.

Last week my friend, Cheyanne and I stopped by our local record store to have a look at the discount CDs and look what I found! I was very excited because I’ve always liked Straylight Run but I’ve never owned an album and this one was actually on my list (go me!) and $1. I’m so good at this. She found quite a few CDs herself so that was nice. Let’s go again!

Soooooo, I went thrift shopping with my mother last week and besides the awesome plaid skirt, plaid dress and elephant dress I bought, I found some ridiculously cheap CDs, but you’re probably not very surprised.
Now, I have never really listened to Mae but I figured, it’s $1 and it’s practically brand new, why not? Then I found an Academy Is… CD (not pictured) which I bought for my little friend, just because. The Relient K one was at a different store, still wrapped in plastic, with the sticker on it and everything for $1. And, last but not least, I got the No Doubt album because they were only my first favorite band ever and it’s only reasonable to have them in my collection, right?

Since my local Best Buy had neither of these albums in stock I ordered them online so that I could still use my gift card. A week later and I finally had them! Great story, right?!
Well, War Paint has successfully fulfilled my expectations and I might go as far to say that I like it more than Reach For The Sun… but only time will tell. As for In The Mountain In The Cloud, I haven’t listened to it as much. I like it but compared to their older material, I don’t like it as much. Altogether, I’d say I’m pretty satisfied.

When I go to my Dad’s, we almost always hit up the swap meet and I never thought to look for CDs before but now I realize what I’ve been missing out on. I bought this for $1 and it’s in surprisingly great condition. Despite the fact that I’m not as into pop-punk as I used to be, New Found Glory will always be part of my collection.
View Larger NEW CD: Gatsbys American Dream - Ribbons & Sugar [2003]
Once upon a time, I illegally downloaded this album and then I lost it from getting a new computer. Now that I’m a changed person, I decided just to buy the CD. I bought it used though because they don’t have this CD in their store.
This album is (again) one of my favorites. I feel like Gatsbys American Dream created their own subgenre, which I like to call “Gatsby-Rock”. I pretty much listen to any band that is influenced by them. Another reason to love this band is how much their music is influenced by literature. I love that. It made me want to read books… and so I did.

Let’s see, I got this on the 16th so it is still pretty new. I ordered it from the Run For Cover webstore. Great choice, huh? I think so. It’s a great album, of course. It’s got one of my favorite jams too (“Between Your Band And The Other Band”).
Also: PIZZA!

Bought this at the Taking Back Sunday show. I almost wasn’t going to buy anything just because I wasn’t super familiar with any of the bands but it was $5 for a ten song album so I bought it plus they sounded good. I probably would have bought an album from any of the other bands too but I didn’t. I’m thinking I should have though.

Finally made it to Hot Topic to pick this up. I feel like I haven’t been buying enough pop-punk albums lately… I need to fix that. Any of you got this yet? What do you think?

You’ve probably noticed that I’m a little obsessed with Thrice lately (or you haven’t, it’s cool). I’ve been on a mission to get all the albums and I realized they have many. So it may take me a while. That’s ok though. I also bought City And Colour too because I guess I just wanted some good mellow music. Sidenote: Not only did I take this picture to show off my CD collection but I also wanted to show you that I’m now out of room. I better cool it.
