![Good Old War - Only Way To Be Alone [2008]
I’ve been meaning since forever to order this CD but I hate ordering CDs because a) it takes all the fun out of going somewhere and finding it yourself and b) it costs a lot more. Anyways, I follow Sargent House (record label) on Twitter and they were giving away downloads to any of their albums to the first 100 people who tweeted them. I got this one, of course. That was a couple weeks ago but yesterday I was really sad and feeling so bummed about things and I decided I needed to cheer up. My solution: Good Old War. And you know what? Coney Island NEVER gets old. That song just makes me feel so happy and the album is no different. Song after song it’s just beautiful melodies mixed with beautiful harmonies. Don’t worry, this is the last one for a while or a week (or something). God And Mars has been one of my favorite songs ever since I first heard it around a year ago. The album is nothing short of amazing. I can’t stop listening to it. In case you didn’t know, Keith Goodwin and Tim Arnold, who are now 2/3 of Good Old War used to be in Days Away.
