I’m sick of posting pictures of my new CDs so I’m just going to give you a list to catch up. And then I’ll stop buying so many and then be able to post them when I actually buy them. So, if you’re curious about what I’ve found since my last post, take a look.
- Jimmy Eat World - Clarity
This is the last CD I found from our road trip up to San Francisco but I got this one in Santa Barbara. I didn’t like that record store very much but I finally have all the JEW albums on CD!
- Transit - Listen & Forgive
I bought this at Hot Topic like the day after it was released. I like it but I wouldn’t say it lived up to all the hype (from Jason Tate, mostly).
- Anberlin - Blueprints For The Black Market
- Anberlin - Never Take Friendship Personal
I ordered both of these before the show I went to last month. Although I was already familiar with most of them, I wanted to be prepared. I like NTFP more out of the two.
- The Felix Culpa - Sever Your Roots
This came with my Into It. Over It. preorder (that one gets a picture soon) because No Sleep Records was giving away free copies of this CD with orders made within a certain amount of time. They were free because the band just broke up! Sad, huh? I like the album a lot too.
- States - Room To Run
I really liked their EP before this and since the only I was going to be able to get this CD was to order it, I ordered it. It’s grown on me but it’s a little bit too poppy/cute/girly at times.
- Copeland - Beneath Medicine Tree
I’ve been on a major Copeland kick lately and needed to complete my collection. I think they’re starting to be one of my favorite bands, even though I started backwards with their albums.
- Patrick Stump - Soul Punk
What can I say? I was a huge Fall Out Boy fan back in the day (like 3 years ago). I’ve been wanting Stump to do a solo album for a while actually and while this isn’t exactly what I was hoping for, I don’t hate it. In fact, I kind of enjoy it.
- Thrice - Identity Crisis
- Mutemath - Mutemath
Found both of these at Book Off near my dad’s house. IC was $2 and now I only need one more Thrice album to finish up their discography! Yay! I don’t like the album very much though haha. Ok, Mutemath is great. I’m kind of obsessed with this album right now. I don’t know why I put off getting into this band for so long.
- The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band
This is my only find at the swap meet I went to with my dad. Actually we found Earth Crisis by Steel Pulse too but that’s technically my pop’s CD. I might just keep it though :)
- Saves The Day - Can’t Slow Down
I was planning on going to that Saves The Day/Bayside tour last week (or whenever that was) and decided I needed to catch up with that collection too. I didn’t even end up going whatever. Ever since I first heard Through Being Cool, I have loved this band immensely and I think all their albums are pretty solid.
